Why it belongs on the map

Sanduhe is a modern mountain village in Bohai Town’s Lihuaxi Valley, with a paved road, bus stop, ordinary shops, cafés, guesthouses, contemporary homes and a clear stream immediately to the south.

Its stronger operating signal is the overlap of village-scale life with visible entrepreneurial infrastructure: a local office advertises company-registration and related business services, while Animation Valley mascots make Bohai Town’s growing creator economy visible inside the village itself.

Best first use

Use Sanduhe as a trial-stay candidate for an independent artist, animator, illustrator, digital-content creator, small creative studio or remote worker who values direct access to nature without leaving everyday services behind.

Multiple guesthouses make it possible to test the village before looking for a longer lease. Houses were described as available to rent, but no reliable long-term annual rent was obtained during the field visit.

03

Operating card

Sanduhe is an emerging creator-and-lifestyle node rather than a finished international work hub. Its significance lies in the ingredients already visible at village scale: daily commerce, hospitality, local business assistance, pet-friendly outdoor life and a township animation programme welcoming global creators.

  • Rent signal — houses appear to be available for longer stays, but no dependable annual figure was obtained.
  • Stay signal — guesthouses provide a practical base for several ordinary workdays before discussing a lease.
  • Daily-life signal — paved access, a bus stop, modern homes, convenience retail, cafés and hospitality are present in the village.
  • Creator signal — Animation Valley imagery is visible locally, and Huairou has invited global animation practitioners to establish a presence in the valley.
  • Field status — observed in person; the detailed photographs and narrative are published in the linked Field Note.
