Start with the work that needs to move
CyberNomad China helps global technology companies, technical teams, independent founders and creator-operators find the Chinese lab, factory, partner or place that could move their next milestone. Research organisations and technical divisions of established companies are welcome too.
The answer may be one research, engineering, validation, supplier, commercial or operator relationship. A team can stay headquartered abroad while connecting the right piece of work to China. Relocation and incorporation only enter the plan when the work requires them.
From founder geography to company geography
The project began in 2026 with direct Beijing field research, connecting two practical questions: how an independent foreign founder could operate in China, and how that person could build a life in a real local community. Beijing, its technical districts and its peripheral living environments became the first deeply mapped region.
Field observation and operating-geography research made the wider question clear. The founder’s home, the company’s address, a laboratory, a test site, a supplier and a customer do not have to occupy the same place. “Where should a founder live and operate?” expanded into “Where should each part of the company operate?”
Business and life geography remain part of the work. OPC, company setup, work permission and village or lifestyle choices remain useful knowledge paths for the founders who need them. They do not define every project.
What we do for a project
We find potential labs, manufacturers, facilities or partners, ask whether they can support the work, and compare practical options. The project brief records who can help, what they confirmed, likely costs and the next step.
Project work can include preparing a technical brief, coordinating introductions, defining a test or helping the parties move toward an agreement. Paid work begins under a written scope identifying the client, our role, deliverables and fees.
Two ways to start

Technical-project development can start with a direct enquiry, a project we have identified or an institutional introduction. A founder, CTO or responsible technical executive speaks with Leo about the bottleneck and potential route. Send a non-confidential outline or reply to the existing email. Commercial arrangements depend on the project and commissioning structure.

Founder & Project Lead
Leo Liu is a Beijing-based international business development professional with extensive experience in cross-border trade, investment promotion and project development.
He spent several years in Latin America on assignment with an overseas representative office of China's national trade promotion institution, supporting Chinese companies in entering regional markets, establishing local operations and developing business partnerships.
Building on this experience, Leo founded Meridian Flow LLC and developed CyberNomad China to help international companies and technical teams explore opportunities in China, connect with R&D, engineering and manufacturing partners, and establish practical cross-border business relationships.
CyberNomad China is a research and project-development initiative of Meridian Flow LLC. Leo leads the research, project conversations and local coordination. Meridian Flow contracts the commercial work; the public articles retain their source labels and disclosure standards.

Meridian Flow may work under different commercial arrangements depending on the project. Some engagements are paid directly by founders or technical teams; in other cases, project-development, coordination, referral or success-based compensation may be provided by relevant China-based organizations or counterparties. The payer, our role and the scope are made clear for each engagement.
Where a third-party commercial relationship could reasonably affect a recommendation, introduction or routing decision, that relationship will be disclosed before the recommendation becomes actionable. Founders are not required to use any particular park, incubator, professional firm, service provider or other counterparty introduced through CyberNomad China. They may decline an introduction, obtain separate quotes or choose their own providers.
Payment does not convert an operator’s claim into an editorial fact or purchase an undisclosed ranking.
Regulated legal, tax, accounting, immigration or other licensed professional judgments must be performed or confirmed by the appropriately qualified provider. We coordinate where appropriate; regulated professional authority remains with that provider.
What field observation establishes
Field notes record what the editor saw, heard and tested on a particular visit: streets, buildings, public facilities, visitor activity, local conversations and practical operating conditions.
They give you a grounded first read of a place. Property rights, permitted use, structure, current rent and administrative decisions then become the specific facts to take into the next conversation.
Local institutions are practical infrastructure
Village committees, township governments, Party–Masses Service Centres and entrepreneurship service offices are often the most useful first point of contact when a newcomer does not know which authority owns a question.
Our field experience is that polite, specific requests for orientation are often met with practical help. Bring the real address, project and question; local staff can identify the office or version of the proposal that should move next.
Privacy and contact
Exact residential parcels, private owners and identifiable minors are not published without a clear editorial reason and permission. The site does not ask readers to send passports, bank records, immigration documents or property contracts.
