Four evidence labels
Official law and government guidance anchor legal and administrative statements. Institutional and reputable media reports can document programmes and cases. Field observation records what the editor saw on a dated visit. An unresolved lead remains visibly unverified.
- Official — published by a competent government or public authority.
- Reported — attributed to a named institution or dated reputable report.
- Field checked — directly observed by the site owner on a stated visit.
- To verify — a useful lead that must not yet be treated as settled fact.
Labels can be combined
A place or claim can carry more than one label. Jinpoluo’s new-villager mechanism, for example, is described by Miyun government reporting and has also been visited by the editor. That supports an Official + Field checked description.
A photograph documents visible conditions, not ownership, legality, structural safety, foreign-guest registration, current rent or market value.
Update discipline
Every practical claim should carry a date or source. Market prices, programme counts and permit procedures can change; readers should re-confirm before acting.
