# Beijing has multiple foreign-language care paths.

Know the emergency number, a nearby hospital and your payment route before you need them.

## Emergency

The mainland emergency medical number is 120; in Beijing from an international-format phone, the official guide lists (+86 10) 120. Many hospitals have emergency departments, but language and direct-billing arrangements vary.

## Routine care

The official Beijing medical guide lists public-hospital international departments and private international hospitals. The English interface of the International Service Beijing mini-program can connect to Beijing 114 outpatient appointments.

## Payment

The official guide lists RMB cash, major international credit cards, UnionPay, WeChat Pay and Alipay. Direct billing depends on a current agreement between your insurer and the specific institution.

- Carry your passport.
- Ask the insurer and hospital to confirm direct billing.
- Keep digital and paper policy details.
- Choose a nearer emergency option for any rural stay.
